The album found an extremely receptive U.S. audience, and was the band's first record to reach the top 10 since FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK WE SALUTE YOU. And while it wasn't as consistent as some of the band's classic releases, BLOW UP YOUR VIDEO was easily one of the best hard rock/heavy metal releases of that time. That's the Way I Wanna Rock N Roll was an instant AC/DC classic, and the raging Heatseeker became an eventual concert staple. Other tracks like Go Zone, Kissin' Dynamite, and Some Sin for Nuthin' were standouts as well. BLOW UP YOUR VIDEO proved to be drummer Simon Wright's final album with the band (he would leave after the ensuing tour to join Dio).
