Beskrivelse
Jane Fonda, Jon Voight and Bruce Dern star in this American drama set during the Vietnam War. Sally Hyde (Fonda) volunteers at the local military hospital as a way to occupy her time while her husband Bob (Dern) is stationed in Vietnam as a Captain for the Marine Corps. She meets a young soldier named Luke (Voight) who has recently returned from Vietnam and is paralysed from the waist down.
As their relationship develops and they fall in love Sally also finds herself changing her previously held views about the war and agreeing with Luke's anti-war sentiments. When Bob returns, also injured, husband and wife find themselves at odds with one another as they clash over the morality of US involvement in Vietnam.
