It presents a selection of 30 painters discovered by the Indian authorities and some that are today among the country's emerging artists. They include Jivya Soma Mashe, the legendary artist from the Warli tribe and Jangarh Singh Shyam. Each artist is dedicated a richly illustrated chapter. The book includes an introduction to the different community groups the artists come from.
