Jane Whalley celebrated her 21st birthday by laying on a banquet for her guests. They were so impressed that she decided to make cooking her career. A course at Leith's of London was followed by a ski chalet season, an invitation to spend a season cooking on a private yacht and the chance to lay on banquets for the rich (and sometimes famous) of London society. Now, after years of experience as a high-end freelance chef, she has opened a 'foodie's paradise' in a beautiful corner of south-west France with her French husband, offering a blend of holiday relaxation and top notch cooking instruction.
