At the request of their mother Anna-Lisa (Stina Ekblad), Oskar Waldemar (Joel Spira) and his two sisters are reunited at the family-run bed and breakfast on the picturesque island of Sunnanö. When Anna-Lisa is found dead one morning, the family discover that the terms of her will specify that the three siblings must run the B&B for one year if they are to inherit it. While together, a dark secret is uncovered which leads to a number of unresolved issues in the family's past coming to light.
